Taking Breaks in Spin Class
It’s highly doubtful that your spin class is being run by an army drill instructor. If you feel like you need to take a break, by all means, do it. You’ll find plenty of others in your class needing occasional breaks as well. Not everyone will be on the same fitness level. Push yourself as much as you can, but yes, you will be able to stop whenever you want to take a break.
Set Your Own Goals
The bikes will have different resistance levels as well as different gauges like a heart monitor, speedometer, calorie and distance tracker. Use these gauges to track your own progress and push yourself every time you step into your bike. Some people will push for a certain heart rate or distance, while others will measure calories. Whatever it is you want to use to gauge your progress, make sure you are keeping track and set goals each time you come into class.
